Cultural Diversity Committee
Advocates, supports and evaluates initiatives and efforts which promote cultural diversity and competence throughout Bon Secours Richmond.

Cultural Transition and Spiritual Support Groups
Provides support to persons experiencing the “shock” of cultural transition. Participants support one another through their shared experiences as newcomers to the U.S. or to this region, their attempts at acculturation, language difficulties, etc. Groups meet monthly at selected Care-A-Van sites and are organized and conducted in the language appropriate to the needs of the group, with bilingual representation from Bon Secours staff.

Mentoring program for middle school girls who need to develop positive decision-making abilities. Seeks to prevent high-risk behavior. In partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond, Falling Creek Middle School in Chesterfield County, and Refugee and Immigration Services.
