Learn About Our Pediatric Care Teams
Pediatric Orthopaedics

Pediatric Orthopaedics is a specialty that provides surgical and nonsurgical treatments for diseases that affect a child's bones, joints and muscles, deformities in skeletal structure that they may have been born with, and injuries from trauma, such as a broken leg or a car accident. Whether your child breaks or fractures a bone or has a condition that affects his or her musculoskeletal system, you want the best possible care. The Pediatric Orthopaedists at Bon Secours are experts in handling issues related to the muscles and bones in infants, children, and adolescents.

These specially trained physicians offer comprehensive quality care for the complete range of common and complicated orthopaedic problems. Some of the conditions that Pediatric Orthopaedists treat include:

  • Fractures
  • Spine disorders, such as scoliosis or kyphosis
  • Genetic skeletal disorders
  • Disorders that affect the neck, shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, and fingers
  • Hip conditions, such as hip dysplasias
  • Knee injuries
  • Foot disorders

Because children's bones and muscles are still growing and forming, Orthopaedic issues must be handled differently than those in adults. These physicians will partner with you and your child's primary physician to develop the treatment approach that is right for your child.
