All potential weight loss patients are required to attend an Informational Lecture hosted by one of our surgeon’s offices. During this time you will have the opportunity to meet the surgeons and their staff and get your questions answered about weight-loss surgery. For your convenience, the meetings are held throughout the day and evening; please see below for a schedule of meeting times. The meeting generally lasts for two hours. There is no cost for this lecture only your time. You may bring a family member or your support person; however, please no children.
Choosing weight-loss surgery is a major life-altering decision that requires your initiative and commitment. The Informational Lecture is the first step in this process and gives you an opportunity to find out if weight-loss surgery is right for you. You are under no obligation to move forward with surgery unless you desire to go to the next step. No one will contact you after the meeting; it is up to you to schedule an individual consultation with a surgeon to move to the next step.
