St. Mary’s Hospital is a designated Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons and has held this honor since 1975.
Memorial Regional Medical Center is designated as a Community Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons.
Both St. Mary’s Hospital and Memorial Regional Medical Center have earned ANCC Magnet Recognition. This certification is designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and recognizes only those hospitals and health care organizations that provide nursing excellence. Only 5 percent of the hospitals in the United States have achieved ANCC Magnet Recognition status.
Radiation Oncology was just recertified for the freestanding centers.
St. Mary’s Hospital Radiation Oncology is certified by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). The Bon Secours Cancer Institute at Reynolds Crossing is certified by the Committee on Radiation Oncology Accreditation of the Commission on Quality and Safety.
We are now fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). After a rigorous evaluation by independent clinical surveyors, we have demonstrated that we offer our patients with breast disease the full spectrum of interdisciplinary care. This ensures our patients have access to the most currently available forms of evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care.
