A recent study showed patients reduce the risk of cardiac mortality by 31% reduction by participating in Cardiac Wellness/Rehabilitation.
Prevention & Rehabilitation

Our multi-disciplinary staff is dedicated to a program of exercise, education and support to improve the quality of life for all patients with heart disease symptoms and risk factors. Our goal is to reduce the possibility of another (or a first) heart attack or cardiac event.

The number one reason patients give high marks to this program is our people. The team care approach involves cardiologists, nurses, a dietitian, an exercise physiologist, a respiratory therapist, a program director and a medical director – each of whom is committed to a personal, individualized approach to cardiac wellness.

We equip the patient to take charge of their own rehabilitation or prevention program. Through individualized exercise prescriptions, goal setting, emotional support groups and staff encouragement, patients are urged to assume responsibility for their own healthy future. We identify risk factors and teach patients to manage stress, make healthy exercise programs. We also involve the patient’s family in as many activities as possible, and we keep the family doctor and specialists informed through regular updates.
