James R. Fuson, MD is a graduate of the Medical University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center at the University of Florida in Jacksonville.
After residency, Dr. Fuson worked at a practice in Jacksonville for 16 years and held the prestigious role of primary care chairman. Missing his roots back in the Upstate, Dr. Fuson decided to make South Carolina a permanent home to include his wife and his four children.
He is very active in the community and has served as Deacon, while also holding a committee chair at First Baptist Greenville. He's also involved with several professional societies including Phi Beta Kappa, and Omicron Delta Kappa. Dr. Fuson's spare time activities include several outdoor activities such as baseball, lacrosse and running while also being actively involved at Furman University.
Having his own large family, Dr. Fuson can truly relate to most families and understand their care needs. As a patient-focused practitioner, he thoroughly enjoys providing compassionate care and treatment for patients of all ages.
Dr. Fuson is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
