Bon Secours Hampton Roads Earn High Scores in Patient Safety from The Leapfrog Group

Bon Secours Virginia Health System announced today that Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk were recently recognized with an “A” Hospital Safety Grade and Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth was recognized with a “B” Hospital Safety Grade by The Leapfrog Group.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The scores were awarded in the latest update to the Hospital Safety Grade, the A, B, C, D or F scores assigned to U.S. hospitals based on preventable medical errors, injuries accidents, and infections. The Hospital Safety Grade was compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading experts on patient safety.
