Dr. Disler graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed an internal medicine internship at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He completed both a diagnostic radiology residency and musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Disler is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a fellow of the American College of Radiology. He is a member of the International Skeletal Society and Society of Skeletal Radiology and he serves on the Musculoskeletal Imaging Committee of the American College of Radiology. He has traveled extensively as a guest lecturer and visiting professor, and has written dozens of articles, several chapters, and two books on the subject of bone and joint imaging. A former deputy editor of Radiology and guest editor for Radiological Clinics of North America and the Clinics of Musculoskeletal Radiology, he currently serves on the editorial board to Skeletal Radiology and reviews for Radiology, Radiographics, the American Journal of Roentgenology, Skeletal Radiology, the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography and theHong Kong Journal of Radiology. He is a member of the Board Examination Committee of the American Board of Radiology and a board examiner. His special interests include imaging of articular cartilage, musculoskeletal tumor imaging, and musculoskeletal interventions including radiofrequency ablation.
