A native of Richmond, VA., Dr. HIcks graduated from the University of Virginia in 1987 with a bachelor's in biology. She received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1991 and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Hicks completed her internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia and joined Richmond OB-GYN in 1995. She is a fellow of the American College of OB-GYN and is board certified by the American Board of OB-GYN. She is a member of the Peer Review Committee at St. Francis Medical center and was chief of the OB-GYN Department for four years. Dr. Hicks enjoys all aspects of female reproductive health, including high-risk obstetrics, caring for teens and abnormal pap tests, multiple births, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery and da vinchi robotic surgery. Additionally, she has an interest in women's sexual health and is a meme of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health.
