Rich Statuto was appointed Chief Executive Officer/President of Bon Secours Health System in 2005.  In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of strategic and operational leadership of the Bon Secours Health System.  Prior to joining Bon Secours, Statuto was President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph Health System, Orange, California.  Statuto received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, and his Master of Business Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio.

 

 

 

Toni ArdabellToni Ardabell

Toni Ardabell is the chief executive officer of Bon Secours Virginia Health System, a position she has held since 2015.  In her role, Ardabell is responsible for eight acute care hospitals and a full-range of other health care services.  Ardabell joined Bon Secours Richmond Health System in 2009.  Prior to joining Bon Secours, she served as vice president for the Inova Health System 2015 Capital Improvement Program, where she led project management for the largest building project in the health system’s history. Ardabell earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania, her master of science in nursing from Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C., and her master in business administration from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.

 

 

Janice BurnettJanice Burnett

Janice Burnett is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Bon Secours Health System, a role she has held since 2012. As CFO, Burnett functions as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, managing the financial operations of the organization and leading managed care operations and the supply chain.  Prior to accepting this role, Burnett was the Vice President of Finance Operations at Bon Secours for five years.  Burnett has over 20 years’ experience in health care finance, most recently with Ascension Health, a national not-for-profit health care system with 67 acute care hospitals in 20 states.  Burnett has a Master of Business Administration from Maryville University, St. Louis, Missouri, and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio.  In addition, she holds a CPA from Ohio.

 

 

Tim DavisTimothy Davis

Tim Davis is Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, for the Bon Secours Health System. His responsibilities include system-wide leadership for Human Resources, Information Technology, Communications, and Performance Improvement.  Davis joined Bon Secours in 2007 following a 31-year career with General Electric (GE), serving in four global businesses including Aerospace, Materials, Energy, and Healthcare. Immediately prior to joining Bon Secours Health System, he was the Global Human Resources Executive Leader for three of GE Healthcare’s businesses.  He received his Master of Science in Administration from St. Michael's College, Colchester, Vermont, and graduated from Massachusetts College, North Adams, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.

 

 

Wael HaidarWael Haidar, M.D.

Dr. Wael Haidar is the Senior Vice President of Provider Networks for Bon Secours Health System, a role he has held since January 2017. Dr. Haidar leads enterprise-wide development of strategies to further strengthen physician services, developing growth strategies and initiatives to support Bon Secours Medical Group in Virginia, St. Francis, and Kentucky and other aligned physicians. He previously served as Chief Physician Executive and President of Mercy Clinics in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Haidar earned his medical degree from American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois. In addition, Dr. Haidar completed Fellowships with Mayo Clinic in Behavioral Neurology and Geriatrics.

Michael Kerner is the Chief Executive Officer of Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System, a position he has held since 2008.  In that role, he is responsible for three acute care hospitals and a full range of ambulatory and other services.  Kerner joined Bon Secours in 2001. Previously, Kerner worked for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for 15 years.  Kerner received an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, and went on to earn a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia.

 

 

Christine LayChristine Lay

Christine Lay is the Senior Vice President, Governance and Sponsorship, a position she has held since January 2017.  She previously served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. Lay provides support for organizing, planning, and implementing governance work system-wide and at the local system level.  In her Sponsorship role, she provides support in ensuring that Bon Secours and its subsidiaries are in compliance with applicable canon law and the reserved rights of the Board, Bon Secours Inc., and Bon Secours Ministries.  Lay received her bachelor of science degree from Towson University and her master's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.  She went on to obtain her J.D. degree from Rutgers University.  Lay is a member of the Maryland, Michigan, and District of Columbia bars, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. 

 

 

Sister Anne LutzSr. Anne Lutz, C.B.S.

A health care administrator with more than 30 years of experience in acute and geriatric care, Sister Anne Lutz serves as Executive Vice President of Sponsorship for Bon Secours Health System.  Sr. Anne, a member of the Congregation of Bon Secours, provides primary oversight and direction of the sponsorship, mission, and community health functions within Bon Secours Health System.  She also has oversight responsibility for Bon Secours Baltimore Health System in Maryland.  Prior to joining Bon Secours Health System in 1987, Sr. Anne served as an administrator for St. Francis Country House, a 318-bed skilled nursing facility in Darby, Pennsylvania.  Sr. Anne received her nursing education from the Bon Secours School of Nursing, Baltimore, Maryland. She later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Administration from the University of Detroit and a Gerontology Certificate from St. Louis University.

Andrea Mazzoccoli, MSN, MBA, Ph.D., FAAN, is the Corporate Chief Nurse Executive for Bon Secours Health System, a position she has held since 2007. As the Chief Nurse Executive and a member of Bon Secours’ senior management team, she represents the more than 8,000 nurses working across the continuum to ensure the highest standard for professional nursing practice and quality outcomes.  Prior to joining Bon Secours, Mazzoccoli served as vice president, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Mazzoccoli serves as a Magnet Appraiser for the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Dr. Mazzoccoli earned a nursing diploma from the Shadyside School of Nursing; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Carlow College; a Master’s of Science in Nursing and Business Administration from Duquesne University; and a Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellow and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.  Dr. Mazzoccoli also completed a Robert Wood Johnson Fellowship.

Thomas Morris, Ph.D., is Senior Vice President of Sponsorship and Theology for Bon Secours Health System.  He joined Bon Secours in 1998. Dr. Morris also serves as Executive Director, Bon Secours Ministries/Bon Secours, Inc., and Senior Vice President of Sponsorship for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville, South Carolina, and Bon Secours Kentucky Health System, Ashland, Kentucky.  In his role as Senior Vice President of Sponsorship, Dr. Morris assists the Chair, Bon Secours Ministries, by planning, developing, and coordinating the sponsorship infrastructure for Bon Secours Health System. From 1990 to 1998, Dr. Morris was executive director for the North American Forum on the Catechumenate, a Washington, D.C., based ministry formation center.  Dr. Morris received a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in Theology from the Washington Theological Union, Washington, D.C. He also has a master’s degree and Doctorate in Religious Studies from the School of Religious Studies of The Catholic University of America.

Mark Nantz is the Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, for Bon Secours Health System, a role he assumed in 2014.  He also serves as Market Leader for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville, South Carolina, and Bon Secours Charity Health System, Suffern, New York.  Previously, Nantz served as Chief Executive Officer for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, South Carolina.  He has been with Bon Secours since 2010.  In his current role, he provides visionary leadership for the entire Bon Secours Health System.  Nantz previously worked at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast in Concord, North Carolina, where he served as President for three years.  Nantz earned his Masters of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University, Misenheimer, North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, North Carolina.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.

J. Bryon Neaman is Senior Vice President of Internal Audit for Bon Secours Health System, a role he has held since 2004.  Neaman’s executive responsibilities include Audit Services, Information Technology Security, and Enterprise Risk Management.  Prior to coming to Bon Secours, Neaman served as the Director of Audit/Assurance Services for Digex, a local technology company.  Neaman holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  Neaman also is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.

Jeffrey Oak is Senior Vice President, Corporate Responsibility and Development for Bon Secours Health System, where he has served since 2005.  He provides enterprise leadership in corporate responsibility and philanthropy.  Previously, Dr. Oak led the compliance and business integrity program with the Veterans Health Administration.  Dr. Oak did his undergraduate work at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and holds a Ph.D. in ethics from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.

Marlon L. Priest, M.D., is Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Market Leader for Senior Services for Bon Secours Health System, where he has worked since 2006.  He leads system efforts and innovations regarding clinical transformation to provide each patient an extraordinary individual experience of care.  Dr. Priest has more than 28 years of experience, most recently with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Surgery, Senior Associate Chief of Staff, and Chief Quality Officer for the University Hospital, and Medical Director for the department of Critical Care Transport.  Dr. Priest received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Alabama and his medical degree from the University of Alabama, School of Medicine.  Dr. Priest is board certified in internal medicine and emergency medicine and holds internal medicine admitting privileges.

Samuel Ross, M.D., is the Chief Executive Officer for Bon Secours Baltimore Health System, and is the Market Leader for Bon Secours Kentucky Health System.  Ross is responsible for providing strategic direction and leading the development, implementation, and improvement of all operations within the Baltimore local system.  Dr. Ross joined the health system in August 2006.  Dr. Ross previously worked at Parkland Health and Hospital System, Dallas, Texas, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.   Dr. Ross received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio, Texas, and a Master of Science in Medical Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, Texas.

Matthew J. Toddy, J.D., serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, for the Bon Secours Health System.  He joined Bon Secours as general counsel in June 2005.  Toddy manages and coordinates legal activities and risk management for the health system.  Prior to joining Bon Secours, Toddy was a partner with the Jones Day law firm, where he concentrated his practice in representing clients in the health care industry.  Toddy received his law degree from Ohio State University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.  He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Health Lawyers Association.

He is responsible for oversight of the organization’s Mission Department and Ethics Program, and leadership of Mission activities throughout the system.  Dr. Wallenhorst holds a Ph.D. in systematic theology from the University of Toronto (St. Michael’s College), Toronto, Ontario, and a Master of Science in Organization Development and Strategic Human Resources from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland.  He also earned a master’s degree in Religious Studies from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Fordham University, New York, New York.

Prior to joining Bon Secours, Reich worked at BayCare Health System in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. Michelle Barlow serves as Administrator of Bon Secours Home Care in St. Petersburg, Florida. Barlow joined Bon Secours Health System in 2011. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Barlow worked as a Home Health Administrator in Tampa, Florida. Kip Corriveau serves as the Director of Mission of Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System in St. Petersburg, Florida. Corriveau joined Bon Secours in 2014. In his role, Corriveau is responsible for the integration of mission and values within Bon Secours St. Petersburg; collaborates with local Church bodies; oversees delivery of Pastoral Care; builds community partnerships and manages local Healthy Community Initiative and Advocacy activities. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Corriveau worked as Director of Social Services for The Salvation Army of Upper Pinellas County. Skelton most recently joined Bon Secours in 2015, he also worked at Bon Secours St. Joseph Healthcare System in Port Charlotte, Florida 1995 to 1998. In his role, Skelton works to establish and maintain a culture of philanthropy, builds relationships with potential donors, and implements annual, planned giving, and special events initiatives. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Skelton worked as Corporate Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Nash Health Care System in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Susan Spotz serves as Administrator of Bon Secours Place in St. Petersburg, an Assisted Living Residence. Spotz joined Bon Secours in 2010. In her role, Spotz manages the day-to-day operations of Bon Secours Place and ensures residents receive quality care. She previously served as the Marketing Coordinator of Bon Secours Place. Kathleen (Kitty) Walsh, LNHA, MBA

Kitty Walsh serves as Administrator of Maria Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Walsh joined Bon Secours in 2016. In her role, Walsh directs the facility’s overall day-to day operation, and coordinates these operations in accordance with current existing federal, state and local standards, as well as in accordance with the established policies, procedures and mission of Bon Secours. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Walsh worked as Executive Director, Children’s Home Society. Walsh earned a Bachelor of Social and Behavioral Science from University of South Florida and Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management from St. Leo University.
