The Imaging Department at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center is now offering open MRI services to patients. The new state-of-the-art MRI is the only open MRI south of the James River and one of only two available in the region (the other being Bon Secours – Imaging Center at Reynolds Crossing.)

The new open MRI at St. Francis Medical Center offers many advantages, as the technology will allow us the ability to perform additional exams, such as abdomens and all extremities and spines with increased range of positioning. The new MRI can also accommodate bariatric patients. This technology offers patients less confinement to reduce feelings of claustrophobia and anxiety and faster results to reduce the time between scans and treatment.
