Radiography Students and an Instructor Examining a Lumbar Spine

Welcome to Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging (SOMI). We are delighted you chose our school to pursue your education. Our Radiologic Technology program exceeds expectations, as shown by our unsurpassed American Registry of Radiologic Technologist’s (www.ARRT.org) examination pass rates on the first attempt, a proud distinction of excellence. As a SOMI student, you will be involved in intense coursework, simulation labs, and clinical experiences while building personal and professional relationships that will last a lifetime. The School emphasizes life-long learning and provides students the opportunity to experience advanced modalities within the Medical Imaging profession. We are here to guide you through this journey. Our talented faculty and staff maintain an unwavering commitment to delivering a rigorous, high quality, student-centered education. Our school is equally committed to maintaining a warm and supportive learning environment for its diverse student body.

After the student meets our program requirements, the student is eligible to apply for the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) exam for credentialing. After successful completion of the exam, the student becomes a registered technologist and can proudly wear R.T.(R) behind their name. This is a critical requirement as you apply for employment and seek to meet employer expectations.
