Bon Secours St. Francis announced that Yolanda Johnson has been named chief market human resources strategic partner for its facilities in Greenville. In this new role, which she assumed earlier this month, Johnson will lead initiatives to provide strategic HR solutions with a focus on retention, turnover mitigation, organizational design and change management.

“Bon Secours firmly cares about people – evidenced by the strong associate culture and an undeniable passion to invest in the community,” Johnson said. “I am honored to join the company and am looking forward to serving the market.”

Johnson joins Bon Secours with more than 15 years of experience in human resources. Most recently, she served as the national director of HR strategy and organizational development for Encompass Health, the largest inpatient physical rehabilitation services provider in the United States. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Columbia College and a master’s degree in human resources from Pennsylvania State University.

“We are pleased to have Yolanda, who has already hit the ground running, leading our HR team,” said Matt Caldwell, president of Bon Secours St. Francis. “I’m confident she’ll make great strides in supporting our company’s growth in the Greenville market by ensuring we attract, develop and retain top talent who are committed to our mission of being good help to those in need.”

Bon Secours encourages a positive company culture, providing staff with a number of different programs aimed at retention and stress reduction, including continuing education, employee awards and an engagement committee to address worker issues to ensure both employees and patients receive the care they need.
