Bon Secours Announces All Hope Cancer Awardees

Newport News, Va. - (November 02, 2018) – Alonza Mace, RN, OCN and Kim Dettwiller, RN, both with Bon Secours Infusion Center located at Mary Immaculate Hospital, have been named winners of the 2018 All Hope Cancer Award. The award was presented at the Bon Secours Cancer Summit on September 28, 2018 in Richmond, Va.

Mace was nominated for her commitment to patients and her willingness to support the care of cancer patients regardless of which site needs her expertise.  “I chose infusion because I enjoy the relationships that I have with my patients, it’s what keeps me coming to work each day,” said Mace. 

Dettwiller was nominated for her willingness to go above and beyond to help her patients. She’s also known for her infectious smile and her ability to show compassion to each patient she works with. “I love knowing that what I do each day can help people who are going through some very challenging times,” said Dettwiller.  “It’s rewarding to be part of a ministry serving our community.”
