Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital brings da Vinci Robotic

As a further demonstration of Bon Secours commitment to providing the highest level of patient care for complex surgical cases, Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital has recently acquired the da Vinci® Si Robotic Surgical System.

Robotic surgical systems allow surgeons to replace many large-incision abdominal and pelvic surgeries with a minimally invasive approach.  The da Vinci offers surgeons dual-console capabilities to support collaboration during surgery. It also features enhanced high-definition 3D vision with up to 10x magnification and an immersive view of the operative field. Bon Secours will be using the da Vinci to perform a number of procedures including gynecological, colorectal, urologic, and general surgeries.

About Dr. Christopher McCann
McCann received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the University of New England and completed his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He practices gynecologic oncology and performs major gynecologic surgeries. McCann focuses on medical and surgical management of patients with ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopy and robotic-assisted laparoscopy to enhance traditional gynecologic oncology procedures.
