Bon Secours has named Cassie Lewis, DNP, as chief nursing and quality officer for the Bon Secours Hampton Roads market, effective February 13. Lewis will oversee the delivery of nursing operations for the market, which includes oversight of bedside care, nursing quality and nursing practices for Bon Secours Hampton Roads.
Lewis joined the Bon Secours ministry 10 years ago and most recently served as the chief quality officer for several of Bon Secours Mercy Health’s hospitals in Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky, including those in Bon Secours Hampton Roads. Over the years, she has served in a variety of leadership positions including as the regional director of Advanced Practice, and lead nurse practitioner and co-medical director of the adult hospitalists department for Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Va.
“The last two years have been some of the most challenging times for nurses in our lifetime, however, our nurses continue to show up and answer the call to serve the community,” said Lewis. “I’m honored to join our Hampton Roads market and look forward to supporting our nursing practice while carrying on the Mission of Bon Secours.”
Lewis earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, her master’s degree from the University of Virginia and her doctorate degree in nursing practice from Old Dominion University.
