During National Nurses Week (May 6-12, 2024), Bon Secours Hampton Roads (BSHR) hosted its second annual Nursing Appreciation Gala at Rivers Casino. The event brought together Bon Secours nurses for fellowship, community, and an awards celebration.
“Nurses serve as the compassionate heart of the BSHR organization,” said Robin Baldauf, MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer. “It was a privilege to honor the dedication and sacrifice of these individuals.”
Nurses are the backbone of America's healthcare system. They play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care to individuals across all stages of life, often during their most vulnerable moments. “This night was about our nurses, honoring their commitment to our organization and community,” said Baldauf.
At the Gala, the Bon Secours Hampton Roads 2024 Nurse Exemplar Awards were given out to exceptional individuals from across Hampton Roads. The awards recognized excellence in nursing in five categories and a category to recognize a non-nurse who exemplifies outstanding support of nursing.
