Bon Secours announces another expansion of its network of urgent care centers across Richmond with the opening of Bon Secours Urgent Care, East End.
Beginning, Monday, July 8, the East End Urgent Care will be open for a summer hour schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9 am – 5 pm, marking a significant step in the health system’s commitment to serving the East End community with accessible health care.
Located on Nine Mile Road in the new East End Medical Office Building, across from Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital, the East End Urgent Care provides increased access to medical services in the neighborhood, especially for patients seeking convenient, accessible treatments for minor illnesses and injuries.
“Increasing access to medical services, focusing on wellness and prevention, growing our partnerships in the East End community, and recruiting and training physicians and associates are four key components of our Community Today, Community Tomorrow: Pathway to Wellness in the East End initiative,” said Mike Lutes, market president, Bon Secours Richmond. “Bon Secours is excited to improve access to same-day care for our patients and the community with our new East End Urgent Care center. In addition, patients have the added convenience of seeing their results, labs and patient records through MyChart, allowing seamless care coordination with their Bon Secours providers or specialists.”
While the East End Urgent Care opens with a summer hours schedule, Bon Secours is actively planning for the clinic hours to expand to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. “We look forward to expanding our hours of operation to offer added access and convenience for the community,” continued Lutes.
The urgent care facilities are designed for today’s busy families who need expanded options for care and the added connection to a health system if a higher level of care is needed. In addition to the locations that are currently serving patients in Midlothian, Regency, on Brook Road and on Nuckols Road, Bon Secours anticipates opening several additional locations in the coming months in the Swift Creek, Carytown, Staples Mill and Sauer Center areas.
If primary or specialty care is needed following an urgent care visit, the Bon Secours urgent care team will coordinate that for the patient. If more critical care is needed, the Bon Secours urgent care staff will connect patients and their loved ones to the right level of hospital care.
The new 3,800 square foot Bon Secours Urgent Care, East End, is located at 2603 Nine Mile Road, Suite 101, Richmond, VA 23223. It includes eight treatment rooms large enough for parents and/or family to be present with the patient, as well as on-site x-ray and labs.

· Allergies, asthma
