Bon Secours is proud to announce that David Hasleton, MD, assumed the role of chief clinical officer for the Bon Secours Richmond market, effective February 10, 2025. Dr. Hasleton will oversee clinical operations and provide strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes across the Bon Secours Richmond market. As chief clinical officer, he works closely with clinical teams, operational leaders, and physicians and advanced practice clinicians to drive innovation, integrate best practices, and align care delivery.

Dr. Hasleton brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in integrated health care delivery systems to Bon Secours, including most recently serving as chief medical officer for Intermountain Health, where he oversaw enterprise-wide clinical and operational outcomes across five states. Prior to that, he held several key leadership roles at Intermountain Health, where he improved provider satisfaction and oversaw hospitals and various service lines. During his tenure, Dr. Hasleton also played a pivotal role in driving clinical integration, implementing innovative care pathways, and streamlining emergency medicine and trauma operations across the system, reducing stroke treatment times, and enhancing care for pediatric patients.
Dr. Hasleton earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he also earned his Master of Business Administration. He is board-certified in emergency medicine, with active clinical experience as an attending physician and adjunct clinical professor at Oregon Health and Science University and the University of Utah.
