Born and raised in Greenville, SC, I learned early on the importance of family and caring for others. As a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for over 21 years, I’ve fought passionately every day for my patients to help with diseases such as, diabetes, hypertension, and heart issues. When not in my office a great deal of my time is spent with my family and my church where I have served as a musician for over 35 years.

	August 2024 Have always been pleased with care from Dr Barksdale.I feel the Healthcare system has so many restrictions that providers can hardly treat their patients and are forced to only treat minor issues and are forced to refer to specialists for everything and then it takes months to get into specialists that are burnt out and don't know the patients history
