I'm originally from Sumter, S.C. Upon graduating from Wofford, I attended the Medical University of South Carolina from 1989-1993. I completed a residency in family medicine in 1996. I have served in numerous leadership roles including, Regional Medical Director for Primary Care. In my free time I volunteer at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic, and enjoy music, cooking, exercising, family time, and being outdoors.

	March 2024 Dr Newman always shows not only compassion but empathy during visits. He intensely listens to my concerns and never do I feel rushed. I left the medical world as a nurse because I would not yield to demands of hurtling people through like an assembly line. I appreciate his kind demeanor and honesty.
