Biography

I. Phillip Snider, DO, specializes in family medicine and weight loss. He received his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then completed his residency in Scottsdale Healthcare System in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Snider is board-certified in both family medicine and in bariatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Snider worked as a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator and a certified personal trainer. He also taught nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and, during medical school and residency, he held the position of adjunct assistant professor in the department of biochemistry at Midwestern University. Practicing his own advice, Dr. Snider has competed in more than 100 triathlons, studied martial arts and qigong for over 20 years, and currently enjoys hiking and cross training in the gym.
