Gregory Priddy, the EMS liaison and emergency department coordinator for the Bon Secours Kentucky Health System (BSKHS), has become a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP).
The CHSP credential was established to focus on the importance of using management principles to improve the safety performance of healthcare organizations. The certification is issued by the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers, which was established in 1976 as a not-for-profit independent credentialing organization. The board establishes certification and re-certification requirements for the CHSP.
Priddy joined BSKHS in 2009 when he assumed the role of EMS liaison at OLBH to provide a personal communication link between the hospital and area emergency medical service agencies. A critical care paramedic and trained firefighter, Priddy has more than 37 years of emergency services expertise.
