The Bellefonte Behavioral Health Center houses a 12-bed adult inpatient unit, a 16-bed senior adult inpatient unit and a 12-bed inpatient detox unit on the campus of OLBH. Our behavioral health programs include those for adult psychiatry, senior psychiatric services, and chemical dependency treatment. Senior Adult Psychiatric Services
The Bellefonte Behavioral Health Center provides a specialty mental health unit designed to care for older adults experiencing life changes that are impacting their psychological and physical well-being. Our multi-disciplinary team works with the patients and their families to accomplish individualized treatment goals. Our inpatient program offers focused intervention in a short-term environment. Patients who can benefit from our program may have mental illness, dementia with a primary psychiatric diagnosis, or those with acute changes in behavior or cognition that require evaluation and stabilization.
Chemical Dependency Treatment
Our chemical dependency program is designed to treat adults ages 18 and older who are struggling with alcohol and substance abuse. The inpatient substance abuse program provides detoxification and medical stabilization to effectively treat the symptoms associated with withdrawal. Services include medication assisted recovery, 12-step facilitation, relapse prevention planning, group and individual therapy, family therapy and post-planning. In addition to inpatient services, the center offers outpatient services to adults whose substance dependence symptoms are obstructing their abilities but do not require the intensity of hospitalization. Sessions are led by licensed clinical therapists and take place at the center.
