Mobile Learning Kitchen
One of Central Virginia’s first mobile learning kitchens, Class-A-Roll provides a fun and interactive way to learn a new skill that is the foundation of a healthy life—cooking! Class-A-Roll is a part of Bon Secours Virginia’s Building Healthy Communities Initiative, which provides Good Help to the most vulnerable.
Cook. Eat. Live.
To equip kids, adults, and families with skills for a healthier life, we provide hands-on learning experiences through healthy cooking activities, recipe and food tastings, garden-based classes, and nutrition education. Class-A-Roll is collaborating with many organization and individuals to provide cooking and nutrition programs throughout the community.
Located at the Bon Secours Center for Healthy Living Sarah Garland Jones Center, Parsley’s Kitchen is a hands-on and creative learning environment inspiring community members and neighbors to taste and cook healthful dishes. This commercial kitchen is outfitted with state of the art cooking equipment and a demonstration area to accommodate classes. We offer programs to learn general cooking skills focused on chronic disease prevention and management. The kitchen serves as the headquarters of the Bon Secours Community Nutrition Outreach program, which includes Class-A-Roll. Click here to see upcoming classes at Parsley's Kitchen.

Interested volunteers will be asked to complete a Bon Secours volunteer application which may include a request for references, background check, and TB testing. Additionally, to ensure food safety, volunteers will be asked to complete a brief training of important food safe handling procedures.
