Patricia Davis-Hagens President Pat Davis-Hagens has served as president of the Bon Secours Hampton Roads market since October 2021. Prior to this role, Davis-Hagens was president of The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health in Cincinnati Ohio, part of Bon Secours Mercy Health and has served the Bon Secours Mercy Health ministry for more than 15 years focusing on compassionate, quality patient care and efficient, effective operations. Previously, she spent 20 years with Provena Covenant Medical Center in Illinois where she served in a variety of leadership roles. Davis-Hagens holds a Master of Business Administration from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, a Bachelor’s degree from Salem State College in Massachusetts, an Associate of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, and a diploma from the Department of Health and Hospitals School of Practical Nursing in Boston. |

Craig Schmidt Chief Operating Officer Craig Schmidt serves as the chief operating officer for the Bon Secours Hampton Roads market. He has held a variety of leadership positions since joining the ministry in 2003. Most recently he served as the vice president and chief operating officer of The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, part of Bon Secours Mercy Health. During his tenure with the ministry, he has also served as the director of operations, the regional director of rehabilitation services and the director of ancillary services for Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital in Cincinnati. Schmidt earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida. |

Marlene Capps, MD Interim Chief Clinical Officer Marlene Capps, M.D. has served as interim chief clinical officer (CCO) for the Bon Secours Hampton Roads market since December 2021. She also serves as chief medical officer (CMO) for Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital. Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Capps practiced primary care in the Hampton Roads area for 15 years. She attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Capps holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Health Care Delivery from Arizona State. She is also certified as an Executive Physician from the American Association for Physician Leadership. |
