Meet the Director and Team — Pharmacy Residency at St. Francis Hospital Downtown

Welcome from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in our residency program. Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown offers a challenging yet rewarding residency that will help residents to grow in knowledge and skills as they become well positioned to pursue a second-year residency or work as a proficient clinical pharmacist.

Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital Downtown was founded in 1932 as a not-for-profit faith-based health system. Our hospital is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains within driving distance to Atlanta, Charlotte and Columbia. We provide a wide variety of health care to the Greenville area, including emergency services, heart care, heart surgery, oncology, bone marrow transplantation, orthopedic services and neurology. Our pharmacy services include decentralized services to many clinical areas including critical care, internal medicine, emergency medicine, oncology, cardiology, neurology and pulmonology.

Our preceptors are energetic, passionate and teaching-oriented. Residents receive training in different areas of health care and will develop competence in patient-centered care. Residents will complete projects to improve patient care and our medication use processes. They will also be involved in precepting pharmacy students. Each resident will experience leading and actively presenting their research at local hospital and system-wide committees.

Thank you for your interest in our residency at Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown. We are proud of our program and the opportunities we can offer to our pharmacy residents.
