Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital recognizes the value of important relationships in the lives of our patients. Maintaining connection during hospitalization is vital for the wellbeing and recovery of your loved one.

Please note that there may be limitations placed to ensure safety within the hospital.

Behavioral Health:

All visits shall be preapproved by the treatment team and ordered by the physician. Visits can be offered via Zoom video or In-person. Once visitation has been approved, directions specific to your visit will be communicated by social work team. Visitors may call 804-225-1730 for any clarifications on how to proceed.

Families are encouraged only to bring paperback books and up to three (3) sets of clothing. For safety, certain items are prohibited and outside food and toiletries are unnecessary as all items will be provided by the hospital.

Visitors must be over 18 years old and no more than 2 visitors are permitted for up to 30 minutes. Visits take placed in designated areas. Lockers will be provided to secure visitor personal items prior to entering the unit.

To maintain safety within the Behavioral Health Unit your visit may be modified or discontinued at the discretion of staff.

Medical Surgical:

General visiting hours are from 8:00am – 8:00pm. For hospital access after general visiting hours, please enter through the emergency department entrance.
