Newport News, Va.— Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital earned high performing ratings for hip and knee replacements in the 2017-2018 Best Hospitals Ratings and Rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
The Best Hospitals procedures and conditions ratings evaluate almost every hospital in the U.S. that admits patients in its nine common procedures and conditions. According to U.S. News and World Report, hospitals receive one of three ratings – high performing, average or below average – unless they treated an insufficient number of patients to be rated. Hospitals that earn a high performing rating were significantly better than the national average.
“The high performing ratings by U.S. News & World Report reaffirms what we have long known: patients who have hip and knee joint replacements at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate receive the highest quality of care possible,” said Darlene Stephenson, CEO, Bon Secours Mary Immaculate. “Achieving high performing for hip and knee replacements is the result of hard work by our talented team of surgeons, nurses and therapists who ensure our patients have outstanding outcomes.”
The ratings are designed to help patients and health care consumers make informed decisions about receiving care for specific medical needs. For more information about the Best Hospital’s Ratings and Rankings, visit http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals.
